PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST SAFETY

Kaleb dives into issues that pedestrians and cyclists face when trying to navigate a city. To learn more about this issue, he speaks to cyclists Austin Vosdingh at Hall Bicycle and Brent Fillenworth. He also spoke with pedestrian Sam Talbott who experienced being hit by a car. Finally he spoke with Cedar Rapids Counsel Member Ashley Vanorny about pedestrian issues and safety.

Check your mirrors.

Don't pass other motorists at crosswalks.

Yield to pedestrians and cyclists at crosswalks.

Refrain from stopping past solid white lines at crosswalks.
